My Texas pride definitely spills over into my musical preferences. But then, that’s really easy to understand when you think of all the amazing musicians that call themselves Texans. Big names immediately come to mind like Beyonce, Kacey Musgraves, Lizzo…. Willie freakin Nelson! Rock n Roll pioneers like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Holly and Janice Joplin are Texans too.
But Texas music history is still being made and there are just as many incredible musical artists making sound waves today. Here are a few Texas artists and bands that you need to know about. I can confirm that everyone on this list puts on one helluva good show and if they come to your town you won’t want to miss it.
